Algebra 1 Unit 1 - Introduction to Class and Pre-Algebra Review
Are you new to teaching, teaching Algebra 1 for first time, or just have too many preps? Let me help! This unit includes everything you need for the first two weeks in your Algebra 1 class.
For the first day, it includes a student questionnaire, activity to introduce yourself to your students, syllabus, and bathroom passes. These items are completely editable and can be personalized and made to suit your teaching style.
For the second day, there is a warm-up, warm-up paper for student to keep organized, and a pre-test.
After that, the review begins. The pre-algebra review includes warm-ups, graphic organizers for notes, practice problems, and a homework assignment for each day. The topics covered are positive and negative numbers, fractions, order of operations, distributive property, combining like terms, and writing expressions.
For review, there is a study guide and review game. Finally, there is a 25 question test in free response and multiple choice format. After the test, you have to keep students busy so there is a word search provided for extra credit.
If it has been awhile since you have done algebra, all problems are worked out step by step and have answers. Majority of the files are provided in both a pdf and word formats and can be edited.
