Product Description

Bell Ringers are a great way to start the day and to get students thinking about math before diving into a new lesson. The spiral design of the bell ringers requires students to remember and use previously learned skills so that past learning and material is not forgotten! I use the time students are completing this activity to take attendance and complete other small tasks before we start the lesson. This set of bell ringers includes 50 three-question bell ringers for Algebra 2. This is the first set of 4 for Algebra 2.

I will also made this available in my store as Algebra 2 Quick Quizzes: Volume 1 and Algebra 2 Do Nows: Volume 1 to meet the formatting needs of other teachers (the quick quiz, bell ringer, and do now problems are the same problems just different titles). Each version comes with an answer key.

Topics found in the 50 bell ringers:

Evaluate and simplify expressions

Transformations of functions

Translate phrases into expressions, equations, and inequalities

Solving equations written in function notation

Writing linear equations in slope-intercept form

Solve equations, absolute value equations, and inequalities

Graph lines, linear equations, and inequalities

Solving systems of equations

Writing quadratic functions in standard form, vertex form, and using focus

Finding vertex, axis of symmetry, focus, and directrix of quadratic functions

Input/output tables

Using distributive property and absolute value

Probability

Factoring quadratics a = 1 and a > 1

Graphing quadratics in vertex form

Finding the mean

Solving quadratics using roots, factoring, and quadratic formula
