With the implementation of the Common Core curriculum, many teachers across the country are adapting to different types of assessments. Likewise, students are adapting to different forms of questioning. In North Carolina, assessments are now including a Constructed Response portion, a section of open-ended problems in which students must explain their reasoning, often in sentence form.
This resource includes TWO Constructed Response practice activities. Both are two pages in length and require students to draw graphs, answer in complete sentences, and show higher-order thinking skills.
