Algebra 2 End of Year Review
COUNT-DOWN to the end of Algebra 2 --- (sounds like a sci-fi movie)
This set of 10 worksheets with a total of 100 questions was created to help students prepare for an algebra EOC assessment.
Suggestions for use.
Two weeks prior to the end of the course, assign page 10, then 9, then ......
Each worksheet has ten problems; one each from ten units. There are ten worksheets... a total 100 questions in all!
Use the Item analysis page to identify weaknesses and address those areas either individually or with the entire class. Students can mark the ones they miss. Each column on the analysis shows the problems for each unit.
Each day assign the next worksheet and continue addressing areas of deficiency. By the end of the ten weeks, students will be better able to face their final assessment and (hopefully) be more successful and confident.
Linear Functions and Equations
Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
Sequences and Series
Transformations of Functions
Radicals and the Quadratic Formula
Polynomials and the Rational Functions’
Unit Circle and Intro to Sine/Cosine
If there are any units you do not or have not covered, it is easy to eliminate the questions. However, I would leave all questions and use this exercise as an opportunity to work through the problem and perhaps, help the students face the problem with some tools and strategies to reason out the answer. Doing this, will prepare them for state testing.
This set can also serve as a review of Alg2 when students move to the next level in their math coursework.
