This worksheet is designed to help students with the topic of the so-called "ambiguous case" (SSA), in which a specified triangle may have more than one correct solution. The term, "Potty Mouth," is used, because if you spell SSA backwards, you get a really bad word!
I start out class with the student notes pages (3 pages), which has several examples of what today's lesson will be about. Once we finish doing the notes together, I have them get to work within their groups on this worksheet (2 additional pages.)
I use this activity within cooperative groups, and I circulate to make sure they are getting the purpose of the questions.
The file includes spiral review problems.
This worksheet is intended to be written on directly.
Please download the pdf preview file first, so you can see exactly what's included; the product file is a word document, which you may personalize for your students.
