Great activity to differentiate. Challenge Factoring
This activity is designed for Algebra or PreCalculus and can be used as part of the early review for Calculus. So may students enter PreCalculus or Calculus with minimal factoring skills and are at a loss in the higher level courses. This activity should challenge your best students and when done you can feel confident about their skills. These can also be used for early finishers or as a warm-up or exit. One idea is for each student pulls one randomly from a bag and has a few minutes to solve.
✓ Task Cards: There are 16 cards with challenging factoring questions.
✓ Student response sheets with room for students to show their work
✓ Two Worksheets, with twelve similar problems. These can be used in class or as a Quiz or Homework.
