This fun activity is designed for any Algebra class. Middle School and High School Students, as sophisticated as they believe they are, still love playing dots and boxes. This is the game where they take turns drawing lines to close or capture a box. In this Algebra version, each box has a pair of points in it. When they capture the box, they must find the slope of the line containing the points. They record the values on their recording sheet and when all the boxed are captured, they add their points to see who wins. Lots of strategies built in, as some values are negative.
Great practice and lots of fun! Answer key included.
