Exponential Equations Fun and Challenging Game.
This fun activity is designed for Algebra 2 and PreCalculus students. As sophisticated as they believe they are, they still love playing dots and boxes. This is the game where they take turns drawing lines to close or capture a box. In this version, each box has an exponential equation in it. When they capture the box, they must solve the equation. Students record the values on their recording sheet and when all the boxed are captured, add their points to see who wins. There are lots of strategies built in, as some values are negative and/or fractions.
In this “edition” of the game, the equations do not need logarithms to solve. Great practice and lots of fun! Answer key included. Please look at the preview to make sure the problems in this resource is appropriate for your class.
