This is one in my series of using the graphing calculator for Algebra Classes. This one is for Algebra II or Intermediate Algebra. Students use the graphing calculator to graph functions, copy the graphs, and use the trace tool to help them find the roots of the equation. They then write the factors for the function. This is a great alternative to factoring and shows students the relationships they need when them move on to calculus. Students can do the work in groups or individually. It can be used as a discovery lesson or a review. NO answer key - I usually go over the worksheet with them using a projection unit so they can see the graph and we can discuss their results.
