This is one in my series of using the graphing calculator for Algebra Classes. This one is for any Algebra levee. Students use the graphing calculator to graph the two sides of the equation, copy the graphs, and use the trace tool to help them find the solution to the equation. This is a great way to show the students a visual representation of a solution and to get them ready for systems of equations. Students can do the work in groups or individually. It can be used as a discovery lesson or a review. NO answer key - I usually go over the worksheet with them using a projection unit so they can see the graph and we can discuss their results.
