Algebra Graphs of Quadratic Functions, Self checking.
This new, innovative Task Card bundle is geared for students to use their reasoning skills along with their algebraic skills.
The cards are designed to reinforce the concepts of graphs of quadratic functions. Some of the questions are very straight forward and many other are intuitive and may need a pencil and paper to solve. These should be done without a graphing calculator.
✓ Zeros of the quadratic equation
✓ Axis of Symmetry
✓x and y-intercepts
✓Horizontal and Vertical translations
✓Combinations of the above
Included in the Resource:
* Two sets of the 24 cards, one with QR codes
, and one without. Each set of four graphs has similar questions and the cards are organized with a color coding system (and numbering system for like problems) which can help with sorting and or grouping your students.
* Student response sheets.
* An additional handout
which can be used as enrichment, homework, group work, or as an assessment.
* All answer keys
Students can optionally self-check their task card answers by scanning the QR code on each card. Connection to the internet is not required to scan the code. However, a device with a QR scanner is required. There are several free apps available for download. My students love using QR's and self-checking.
