This activity can be given to one student, a pair of students, or a group of students to give them additional practice with the Quadratic Formula. This activity contains a 16 and a 20 card set. Cut apart the cards and then students put the puzzle back together by matching the sides of the squares. Both the 16 card set and the 20 card set have two forms. The one is simplified by removing the extra equations from the outside edges of the puzzle. The other puzzle contains expressions or equations along the outside, but they do not match with any of the other edges.
Check the puzzle by looking for a hidden phrase to be spelled out.
This package is a combination of the two packages Solving Quadratic Equations 16 Matching Cards and Solving Quadratic Equations 20 Matching Cards at a reduced price.
1. Puzzle 1 (16 pieces) has distractors along the outside edge of the puzzle.
2. Puzzle 2 (16 pieces) is exactly the same as Puzzle 1 but without the distractors along the outside edge of the puzzle.
3. Puzzle 3 (20 pieces) has distractors along the outside edge of the puzzle.
4. Puzzle 4 (20 pieces) is exactly the same as Puzzle 3 but without the distractors along the outside edge of the puzzle.
Since Puzzles 1 and 2 both have 16 pieces you can interchange just some of the outside pieces to differentiate the instruction. This same thing works with Puzzles 3 and 4 but with 20 pieces.
The quadratic equations used in puzzles 1 and 2 are different from those used in puzzles 3 and 4.
This is a bundled package of two other products by the same name in my store.
