Use this Q and A game (a jeopardy type game) to engage your whole class in a review of the basic concepts of solving and graphing linear inequalities.
This Powerpoint file contains 26 questions with solutions for Algebra I. The game has 5 different categories with 5 questions in each category. The categories include Solving Inequalities, Multi-Step Inequalities, Compound Inequalities, Absolute Value Equations and Inequalities, and 2 Variable Linear Inequalities .
When a student chooses a category and an amount the game takes them to a question. At the end of a lime limit when you are ready to reveal the answer use the right arrow or forward key. This could lead to other discussion with the rest of the students about the answers or the way it was solved. Then to return to the game board, click on the rectangle labeled "Q and A". When you return to the game board, the question you just used has changed color, so you know that you have already answered it.
Hidden within the q and a board is a bonus question where students can wager their own amount. To conclude the game there is a Final Question.
Questions are based upon the material presented in Larson, Boswell, Kanold, and Stiff's Algebra I (Chapter 5).
