This worksheet is meant as a review of basic algebra skills. I currently teach algebra in Texas, and I start my year off with these skills so that I may incorporate them back into lessons, activities, warm ups, etc. so students are constantly getting practice over these challenging concepts.
There are six parts, and each section has a "Things to Remember" box with hints about that particular topic.
The following TEKS are covered:
A.10(A): adding and subtracting polynomials (supporting)
A.10(B): multiply polynomials of degree 1 and 2 (supporting)
A.10(D): rewrite polynomials of degree 1 and 2 using the distributive property (supporting)
A.11(B): simply expressions using the laws of exponents (readiness)
A.5(A): solve linear equations in one variable using the distributive property and with variables on both sides (readiness)
A.5(B): solve linear inequalities in one variable using the distributive property and with variables on both sides (supporting)
