This is the third part of three lessons (sometimes more depending on the group) on simultaneous equations that come as an excellent bundle that I highly recommend getting as a group.
1. By Elimination Method (add and subtract)
2. By Substitution Method
3. By Graphical Method
This lesson starts (15 slides) starts off with a fun starter to get people thinking that I saw on facebook. It finishes with a similar plenary (but much harder) that is a puzzle from Mensa. The lesson looks at drawing linear graphs and using them to solve simultaneous equations. It comes with embedded questions an accompanying handout to saves pupils and your sanity from spending 10 minutes drawing axis's. Above all else, it has excellent custom animated slides showing exactly what pupils need to do. It also comes with learning objectives and MWB activities looking at the skill of re-arranging. This lesson builds than on three previous lessons/skills and therefore is a really important and helpful lesson !!!
