Solving Quadratic Equations by Factoring has never been this much fun! No Prep and Paperless - Easy to Use
Your students solve the problems as they would traditionally on paper, step by step, but instead of writing, they drag and drop the fun numbers and symbols onto work space. Each variable, exponent, and symbol (like + or -) has its own color helping students organize and visualize the steps. All problems either have 1 as the leading coefficient or simplify to an quadratic with 1 as the leading coefficient. Students solve by the factoring method (Zero Property).
This resource includes 15 problems, including a completed example, two partially completed examples, and an optional digital answer sheet to send to you. A printable answer sheet is also included should you want a blended activity. The problems are ordered by difficulty level so that you may differentiate.
Because each student has their own digital copy, they can also make notes on the slides and refer to them later for review as part of a Digital Interactive Notebook, if desired. Whether you are new to Google Slide products or have used them before, you and your students will find this activity very easy to use, fun , and a great learning experience.
Students can work alone or in groups. This activity may also be used for HW or an assessment.
Detailed illustrated instructions on accessing and sharing this resource with your students are included as well as the link to the product. An answer key is included.
Note: You and your students must have access to the internet and have individual FREE Google Drive Accounts to use this resource.
