New Algebra Sprint! 20 questions per side on simplifying radicals with only numbers on the inside, no variables. Numbers get large but requires students to see patterns!
How to use a sprint in your classroom: Give students exactly 1 minute (or however long you want--for this sprint, I might do 1.5 minutes) to do the first side. The goal is to get as many as they can correct in a row. If it was an honors class, I would give less time. I don't necessarily want them to finish the page.
Go over the front, answering any questions.
Give students exactly 1 minute (or however long you did on the front) to complete the back. Hopefully their scores improved!
The great thing about sprints is that it is repetitive practice that doesn't waste too much class time!
