This puzzle contains 10 problems which students can use to practice working with function notation.
Students are given three functions f(x), g(x), and h(x). Students are asked to find various values of the functions such as f(2) or f(g(2)).
After solving all 10 of the problems, students add up their solutions. These solutions should add up to the "super secret number", which will be provided by the teacher at the end of the activity.
In order to be successful at this activity, students need to be familiar with function notation and composition of function notation. (See the preview.)
An answer key is included.
