This game is ideal for any algebra unit that involves writing equations in slope-intercept form. It consists of 22 reusable “What equation am I?” cards that can be easily laminated, cut up, and distributed to students to play a reusable who-can-get-the-most-correct-answers game. Students are also provided with a one-page review sheet for use before or during the game and answer sheets to record answers and any necessary work. is best used toward the END of a unit on writing equations and can be used for review as many times as necessary thereafter. These 22 riddle cards cover the following concepts:
Writing an equation given the slope and y-intercept.
Writing an equation given the slope and a point on the line.
Writing an equation given two points on the line.
Writing an equation given the equation of a parallel line and a point on the line.
Writing an equation given the equation of a perpendicular line and a point on the line.
Questions are rated as “Easier”, “Medium”, “Medium +”, and “Hard”, and comprehensively cover all of the concepts above with varying degrees of challenge.
