The next unit in the Conquering Math series is here!
This Flipped Classroom unit will guide students through an introduction to algebraic expressions, variables and how they are used, and important algebraic properties. Students will use the guided note sheets to take notes during the lesson video before practicing a few problems on their own. Finally, they will check their solutions using the independent practice solutions video.
This download will give you access to all of the guided note sheets in the Algebraic Expressions unit. The videos themselves can be found on the Conquering Math YouTube channel (see below). This unit is ideal for sixth grade classrooms as it directly correlates to the sixth grade CCSS. The lessons can also be used in 7th and 8th grade pre-algebra classes and can even apply to the beginning of high school algebra classes.
This unit contains the following lessons in the Conquering Math series:
Terms, Variables & Coefficients
Evaluating Algebraic Expressions
Writing Algebraic Expressions
Commutative and Associative Properties
