An in-depth look into Lewis Carroll's classic story of Alice in Wonderland. Students will be challenged with higher level comprehension questions that ask about theme, literary devices, Carroll's writing techniques, satirical elements, and character development. Also included are worksheets to increase student connections between what they are reading and how it applies to the literary elements taught in Secondary English classes. These worksheets can be used in conjunction with the book or as review. They can be completed as a group or individually.
I have also included notes about the most common Literary Devices found in the story as well as definitions and examples of these devices. In addition, there is a graph with specific themes found in the story that can be lectured about or given to the students so they can find examples of the themes in the story.
