One class period of engaging activities that spotlight the famous story of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Students will read an excerpt of the famous story. Students will be placed in groups and handed story response cards. Groups must formulate a well-thought out answer to share with the whole class. After group work, students have the opportunity to fill in the graphic organizer with details of the excerpt and place them in chronological order. On the graphic organizer, students will draw an illustration or a symbol to represent each event. At the the end of the lesson, students will write about "Adventure Alice" and discuss her desire for adventure as shown in the excerpt.
