Incorporate literature into the math classroom! This article provides a mathematical perspective on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I used this as an interesting introductory activity to expose students to contemporary mathematical ideas like imaginary numbers. The file includes both snippets of the article as well as a question worksheet for students. You can also search on Google for the full article. I like showing my students a YouTube clip of the 1951 version of the movie at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party to set the mood!
