Product Description
Here is a set of 33 worksheets with high level, short answer, comprehension questions for the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (also known as Alice in Wonderland) by Lewis Carroll. Many questions relate to the logically fallacious reasoning Carroll uses for entertainment and instruction within the book. These questions ask the students to figure out where the reasoning is flawed. Each chapter has a worksheet of 5 to 7 questions. In addition, there are a set of worksheets offering a side by side comparison of every one of the book's poems with the original poems, by other authors, upon which Carroll based them. Each of these worksheets asks a couple comprehension and comparison questions about each pair of poems. Also included is a double-sided character information worksheet which can be printed off for each major character in the book. The character worksheets are to be filled out by the students as they go through the process of reading the book. They ask for quotes from the story and interpretations of what those quotes tell the students about the character. Finally, there is an essay prompt about the book's themes. Included is an answer key for all the questions. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a Common Core exemplar text.

If you wish to go even deeper into this story please see my introductory logic unit posted in my store here which covers much of the logical lessons Lewis Carroll included within the book.

If you would like these comprehension questions and the logic unit together you can buy the Alice in Wonderland Comprehension and Logic Unit Combo item from my store and get a reduced price over purchasing them separately.

If you don't need the logic unit, but want to also cover the sequel to this book (Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There) please give my Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There Comprehension Questions a try as well.

Finally, if you would like all three of my Wonderland teaching creations together at once at a reduced price (both books' sets of comprehension questions and the logic unit) please see my Complete Wonderland and Looking-Glass Comprehension and Logic Unit Combo.
