All Aboard for some fun while learning about simple words that rhyme. This lesson provides didn't activities for students to decide which words rhyme. Lesson is completely interactive. They move letters to make new words and then use the smartboard pens to write the new words. Students are also given an opportunity to finish silly rhyming poems. The last slide provides a link to SafeShare video/song that plays John Denver's Rail Song and I've Been Working On the Railroad while students have to write as many words as they can that rhyme with hidden words behind train cars. Created with Smart Notebook 11. Great for grades K - 2 depending on the class. All slides are self correcting with answers linked so tihs may be used as a whole group activity with the teacher or it may be easily used as an independent activity. I understand that this may also be used on Promethium Boards if the lesson is imported correctly. I have seen blogs about how to do this by googling the subject. I do not have any experience with this because I do not have access to Promethium Boards.
