Booklet about Atoms
I have found that my students enjoy notes and review in booklet form. I think this has a lot to do with the novelty of it as well as the fact that a booklet tends to break up information into chunks therefore making it easier to process and understand.
Included here is a zip file that includes all of the pdf notes/slides for students to take notes from in order to fill in their booklet. I have also included pictures of a finished booklet.
To make the booklet each student will need 4 pieces of paper. I used copy paper but notebook would also work. My students made an interlocking book and then put fun patterned duct tape on the fold to give their booklet a more finished look. Interlocking books are fairly easy to make but can be time consuming so stapling the booklet is another option.
Also for the atom models in the booklet I gave my students colored dot stickers for the parts of the atom. These stickers can be found in the office section of Walmart and Target as well at any office type store.
