Teachers can utilize this template to support their unit on BEARS. Students will deepen their understanding about non-fiction text features as they create their own All-About Bears book. Just use the pages you want your kids to include in this project.
-Title Page: Have students draw a picture for their bear cover.
-Dedication Page: Have students dedicate their All-About Bears book to someone, such as a family member, friend, or teacher.
-Table of Contents (optional): For the fact pages, you students can write, Bear Facts—Pages 2-5, for example.
- Pages: I have included an introduction page, 4 fact writing pages, a blank writing page, & one with a fun fact box. Each page has a space for a picture and at the bottom, there is an option to put a page number. You can choose which pages to use.
-My Diagram: I have included 2 variations—one with a bear and lines to label its parts & one where they can draw and label their own bear.
-Glossary Page: Students can choose 3 words to include in their glossary. There is an option to draw a picture and put a page number where they can find that word.
-Author Page: Students can include a brief write-up about themselves.
-Planning Page: Students can practice writing 5 facts about bears. When they are ready, they can begin their book.
