Always free for the first 20 downloads. Yea!!!
My kindergarten class JUST finished using this report style packet. I went to our school library and checked out about 40 nonfiction books on random topics. I held up each cover and allowed the kids to choose their topic. I did the first All About Book WITH my class. Day 1: I modeled how to complete the cover, then they worked on the cover. Day 2: I modeled the About the Author page.... they completed their own About the Author page. Day 3: I modeled how to find and write a “good” fact...they searched and wrote their own ”good” fact. Etc. For older kids, they won’t need as much scaffolding. By the end, students will feel they are experts on their given topic! When the books are finished, you can have a "celebration" or do some sort of "author's chair". So many possibilities!
There are various styles of each page so you will want to print your favorites and put together the packet that works best for you and your students.

- I made an All About Snakes Book for struggling students to trace. This was a life saver for the students who couldn't do any of this independently. I gave them snake books and assisted them in finding pictures to match the already written words.
I hope your students have as much fun researching animals, people and places as much as mine did!
Like I said, look at the included materials BEFORE printing.
