Students can build their receptive and expressive language skills
by understanding how words are related. Teaching how words belong in different categories helps students group familiar words together. Category activities also help with having new words to describe nouns
. The first category flipbook provides visual supports for students learning new words. The second category flipbook is filled with interactive category activities that will provide practice with understanding how similar words go together. Kids love using these books with dry erase markers.
If you don’t have time to prep these category flipbooks, you can download the pdf onto your ipad and use with the Notability app.
