Pages 3-8: Gumball machine and bubble gums (gray item bubble gums). Use this activity to teach 6 or 10 gray items per machine. You can use it to match, identify and label.
Pages 9-16:” My GRAY Book” - is an interactive book that targets the color “gray”. It
provides 12 gray nouns (interactive pieces). Use this book to match, identify, and label the gray nouns. You can also expand the child’s utterances by using “gray + item”. Cut every page in half, except page 10. Page 10 is the base of your book. The squares/icons on page 9 are the interactive pieces you will use for your book. Cut, laminate and velcro these pieces to your page 10 squares.
Pages 17-21: These are sentence strips (pace-boards), which will help with phrase/sentence construction, increasing MLU (Mean Length of Utterance), describing pictures,
etc. I have used the Fitzgerald Color-Coding Key to color-code the icons
(e.g. yellow = pronoun, green = action words, blue = adjectives
and orange = nouns/categories). I have provided 2 separate cards
for teaching gray (noun/adjective).
