Get crafty this back to school season with this 'All About Me' Spinner Craft and quick reflective activity. This resource includes two leveled crafts (K-2 and 2-4) to encourage students to explore who they are and what is important to them. Younger students will tell basic facts/favorites and older students will brainstorm people, places, and things that help to form their identity. All of these come together in a fun back to school 'spinner' craftivity!
Presentation idea: have students present their spinners to the class and explain why each person/item is important to them.
Try using the back to school all about me spinners to launch a Social Studies unit on community and/or personal identity.
This activity now includes a DIGITAL (Google Slides) version for distance or at-home learning. The digital version of this project asks students to show their preferences in a simple Google Slides project. Students will be asked to type answers, click and drag moveable pieces, and insert pictures from their own devices. The digital version works best for students who are able to complete these digital tasks independently.
