Description

WHAT'S INSIDE?

This is a game, in the form of a PowerPoint presentation, to help students get to know each other. Label your corners 1 - 4 like you would when playing regular four corners. Project one of the questions. Read aloud, then students should move to the corner that corresponds with their answer choices.

NEW! 3 Versions included!

  • US version
  • UK version
  • Spanish version

The presentation includes 25 get-to-know-you questions. For example...

  • How many siblings do you have?
  • What do you like to do after school?
  • What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
  • Which superpower would you like to have?
  • What is your favorite subject?
  • What subject do you need to get better at this year?

PEDAGOGY

Use the questions as discussion prompts to have students work on those speaking and listening skills. You can also analyze the results of each question by comparing/contrasting groups or writing math comparison statements.

HOW CAN I USE IT?

  • first day of school get-to-know-you activity
  • morning meeting discussion prompt
  • brain break
  • intro to opinion writing
  • character education / respecting differences

WILL IT WORK FOR ME?

This game was created as a back-to-school activity for my classroom. However, it contains no back-to-school or summer-related questions, so you can use it at any time in the year.

The download includes a zipped folder with 3 PowerPoint files inside. You need to have the ability to open .zip and .pptx files on your device.

In order to maintain formatting, the PowerPoint is NOT editable. However, the questions are appropriate for all ages and grade levels.
