The All About Me Seuss Inspired differentiated flip book is a great project for getting to know your students in the first week of school or end of year. The flip book is simple to put together. Also great for a bulletin board for open house.
It contains 6 categories:
Page 1- All About Me
Page 2- My Family
Page 3-My Future
Page 4-My Likes
Page 5- My Activities ( this page includes using adjectives- Grammar Common Core)
Page 6- My Autobiography (differentiated- it has one fill in the black page and one lines only page) I personally use both. I use the last one for them to write a acrostic poem by using their name. Common Core RL.1.4, RL.2.4, RL.2.5, RL.3.4 and more

Teacher Direction Page Included

There are a few pages that have 2 on a page so you can save paper.

The book requires students to think, write and share information about themselves. The MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY is a differentiated page; it has a fill in the blank version and the other one is just blank lines so they could write their own autobiography. You can even choose to use both autobiography pages, the last page can be used to write an acrostic poem by using their own name.

Common Core Anchor Standards: Writing, Grammar, Reading, Speaking and Listening (if you choose to have them share and take notes about each other)

Extra Fun Idea: After I have my students share their All About Me books, we have a snowball fight (in Florida). I have my students write on blank white paper three things about themselves- no name on it. I then divide the class in half. One half stands on the right side of the room and the other on the left side of the room. Each line faces the other. We toss our snowballs across the room. After a bit of snowball mixing, I have the students pick a snowball and sit in a circle. I start on one end and go around as each student has a turn to open, read aloud and make a guess of who it might be. We continue until everyone is matched. I also have a snowball in there with three things about me! If they did a good job listening to their classmates share the ALL ABOUT ME BOOK, then they might know who they are reading about.
