Bubble maps help you identify qualities of an object and use adjectives and adjective phrases to describe objects. By creating and using bubble maps, you can improve your descriptive writing skills and extend your vocabulary.
You Will Need:
• 8 ½ x 11 white paper
• Small picture of yourself
• Markers and crayons
You are in charge of creating a bubble map about yourself. The center (or middle) bubble must be a picture of yourself. This can be a school picture or a picture of your choosing from home that describes YOU. The smaller bubbles that connect to your bigger bubble are adjectives/adjective phrases that you would use to describe yourself. Outside of the smaller bubble use words that can prove your adjective is true. For example, if you are “athletic” you can write, “won a trophy” outside of the small athletic bubble. Please make this map colorful and creative! This is your chance to SHINE!
Includes: Project Information Sheet for students and a Self-Assess/Teacher Assess Checklist.
