After searching for a FUN, INTERACTIVE, and KID FRIENDLY unit on the US government and not finding exactly what I was looking for, I decided to create my own.
This unit has sample lesson plans, reading passages for each topic , a variety of flap books that go along with each reading (my students absolutely LOVE making flap books!), and even a Unit Assessment. Take a look at the preview for a sampling of what is inside this resource.
The topics covered are as follows:

*What are the 3 levels of government?
*Who are your government officials?
*What is the Constitution?
*What are the 3 branches of government?

*What are some important US symbols.
