Introduction to Pictographs
Sample Pictograph - The students can share observations about what they notice about it.
Round 1: Favorite Cookies - The key on this graph has students counting by twos and this round has seven questions.
Round 2: Number of Stores in Westview Mall - The key on this graph has students counting by fives and this round has seven questions.
Round 3: School Lunch Choices - The key on this graph has students counting by tens and this round has seven questions.
Round 4: Miles Traveled Over Summer Break - The key on this group has students counting by hundreds and this round has eight questions.
**Three out of the four rounds include graphs with half symbols.
These PowerPoint questions can be answered as a team game or the students can write their answers on notebook paper or dry erase boards. The answers are given after each question for immediate feedback.
