This game was developed to support communication development for students with moderate to severe communication deficits. The theme of this bingo game is back to school. It is part of the “Back to School Unit”, but can be used individually. This activity was designed to be used by SLP’s and Special Education Teachers for group and individual work. This bingo game can be used to work on vocabulary, function of items, features, categorization, answering questions, asking questions, and more. It is designed for all age levels.

Why I created these activities! A portion of my caseload has always been students with autism or with a variety of moderate to severe developmental disabilities. The last 5 years I have worked with older students. I found that many of my go-to activities were not appropriate to the ages of my students. After much research and trials using evidenced-based practices, I designed these thematic units to support communication growth. They were created to be flexible for a variety of goals and skill levels. These activities have increased the effectiveness of my group and individual sessions.
