Lots and lots of interactive research, vocabulary, writing, and crafts, all pertaining to the different oceans.
Informational text for all oceans (colored and B&W).
Research writing activity that goes with informational text (colored and B&W). Answer key is included. Word bank to use for research writing is also included I usually put this on the projector and the let the students look for clues from there instead of coping for each student. This is a great asset to use in small group, student led collaboration.
Each ocean has themed writing paper that can be used for the students that are ready to write their own research paper.
Quick facts page that students can answer and use as a quick reference. I love these pages! They are usually used as a wrap up or review activity.
World map template for each ocean so that the students can practice labeling and coloring the ocean in the correct reign.
“Let’s Define the Word” pages for next vocabulary are also included in this pack. They go great when teaching the oceans. I use these in the student book that I put together before we start the unit. I know it’s a lot of prepping in the front but the students love this book and it keeps everything together.
Two different assessment options that can be used if wanted. (Can be used as pre & post).
Different hands-on activities/crafts templates that are easy to copy and use.
Front & back covers for a student book. It takes some prepping on your part but this is a great way to keep all the information together over the course of this unit.
A bundled pack of both continents and oceans are available with lots of extras that are not included in the individual packs. Here’s the link!!!
