This file contains problems for students dealing with triangles.
There are four activities included in this file:

1. Triangle Sum It Up: this lab deals with discovering the fact that there are 180 degrees in a triangle by using a protractor.

2. Triangle True Colors: this lab deals with discovering that all triangles have 180 degrees.

3. Pythagorean Theorem: this lab deals with discovering a lab for developing a formula for computing the hypotenuse of a right triangle.

4. Angle types and Triangle Types: a form for researching the types of angles and triangles.


This lesson is a pdf file and includes space for the students to show their work. An answer key is included where appropriate.

If you like this project please let us know. We have projects covering the entire school year and some are cross curricular (Sports, Patriotism, Seasons, Holidays, History, and Science). Lessons begin at 4th grade and are appropriate for the Middle School and some High School students. These projects have been used successfully in both the Elementary and Middle School levels.
