Introduce US coins in your classroom or use to supplement your math curriculum.
Designed with K-1 classrooms in mind, these also work well with any age in a special education or intervention setting.
A variety of worksheets (43 pages in all) are included to introduce and explore the value of the four basic US coins (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter). Activities range from skip counting, to introducing each coin to finally counting random assortments of change.
Many activities build on one another, starting with counting by ones to then counting small groups of pennies then advancing through other activities to get to counting groups of mixed change.
Send home for homework, use as an independent activity during math centers or perfect to use in sub plans or to engage and occupy students while you are testing.
