When working with early elementary students on Informational Writing, it's nice to have printable writing booklets to use. Everyone can work together initially, or a small group(s) can work collaboratively and have the same materials to help guide them through the process of this type of writing. This is a printable booklet that includes initial conversations and a recording page about student Schema as well as an Anchor Chart header and student anchor chart pieces about their existing schema. It goes on to include important pieces to help students look for and collect facts about the topic including a Read and Jot recording page. 3 varieties of writing paper allow students choice when writing. It also includes the expected, such as a glossary and index as well as a diagram page. It DOES NOT include any information about the animal listed. This is intended as a printable guide booklet.
