This foldable is part of my “Itty Bitty Art Book” series.
This book has been designed for high school students to use while researching a particular Artist. The first two page spread has a large area for a basic summary of the Artist. Four pages are designed for students to select four work of art that are key to that Artist, and provide basic information about each piece. There is room for the student to do a drawing of the art work being covered. The back page is an area where students can include any relevant information about the society/culture at that time that would have affected the artist and their work.
The foldable has been designed to be printed out on a tabloid page (17x11 inches) with ¼ inch margins on all sides and all fold lines. It is important that when you print, you make sure that the pdf document is NOT being scaled by the printer. In the printer window, check to make sure that ‘scale to fit’ is turned off.
If you have access to a colour photocopier, you could have the students each do a different artist, and then photocopy each booklet for each student in the class….they would have a library!! That is a lot of photocopying however…. You could copy them in black and white, as long as the students do all their writing in black pen, and do a contour drawing of the art work (rather than a colour version). You could also have students in groups where they end up doing the same idea with fewer topics (four students, four topics, each gets a copy of the other group members…. this would reduce the photocopying, but it is still a lot of copying to have students have a ‘library’ of the topics).
I have included a PDF on how to fold this type of foldable also.
