I spend one week on teaching this sight word to my students.
Monday - color the sight word
Tuesday - circle and write the sight word.
Wednesday - circle, write, and fill in the missing letter
Thursday - read the word in context in a mini book and write the word on each page in the book
Friday - write the sight word in a sentence and draw a picture to match.
Each week builds on the previous weeks through review of words that the students have already learned. The words appear in this order:
a, I, like, the, and, go, had, he, see, has, you, we, of, in, am, at, to, as, have, is, it, can, his, him, on, did, girl, for, but, & up.
