This is a great final project after a unit about the Canadian provinces. Each student is assigned a Departure province and a Destination province... they will learn a tremendous amount about each.
They are also asked to determine the cardinal directions and how they would travel from one province to the other. They need to come up with a couple facts about each province they pass through.
Finally - a visual representation to finish it off provides the students with the outlet for creativity (brochure, poster, etc..)
Too often my students get well versed in one area we are studying - this project encourages them to know a little bit more about a variety of provinces.
