I wanted to write an article for health and Biology students about how calories are not created equal! So many fad diets tell you to just count calories and it doesn't matter what you eat. In this article, I explain that it does matter and that any food that we eat should contain healthy calories from good fats, carbs and protein along with vitamins and minerals. I explain about the different kinds of fats and about cholesterol. Fifteen thought-provoking questions are asked at the end of the article. An answer key is provided. This is a good sub lesson plan.
