Product Description
This includes documents to help those working with K to be organized with the Common Core Standards in Language Arts. Four of my documents for K Language Arts are placed into one. This would be very helpful for a teacher trying to get organized, communicate better about where the students are with the standards, or grasp the standards better.

1) Classroom checklists
Checklist for the entire classroom showing helping you see at a glance who needs to work on a certain standard. These include the standard numbers to help with planning

2) Individual student checklists
This checklist allows you to follow each student including a small space for notes to help for report cards and parent communication. This is excellent for students who are struggling to reach the standards or are very advanced, allowing you to see how best to differentiate for each child.

3) I Can Statements
These are presented in adult I Can Statements for your parent communication and student I Can Statements for communication with your students. This is presented as an individual student checklist that could also help with parent communication for your advanced and struggling students.

4) Parent Communication checklists
These are separated into the different disciplines within LA. They begin with "My child...", asking if the child meets or does not meet that standard. This could be completed throughout the year and included within a report card. It could be an end of the year assessment communicated with parents and the first grade teacher. It could be used in problem areas to help a parent understand what needs worked on to meet the standards. It could be given to a parent to see what they feel their child can or cannot do. I could be used for collaborate between a tutor or special education teacher and a classroom teacher

How to read to your child at home and a parent friendly bulleted list of the standards are also included.
