This cute, motivational activity will make repetition of target sounds in words, phrases and sentences FUN! It targets students in grades preK – 2 for articulation of the targeted sound in the initial, medial and final positions of words, phrases, and sentences.  Students complete a task, and are rewarded by drawing and decorating Halloween face. The characters include: witch, vampire, Frankenstein, devil and mummy.

Targeted Words –
These are the same targeted F pictures that are in All Smiles for Articulation of F. The targeted names are different.
Targeted F words for articulation include, fox, fish, fan, fork, football, flower, fat, fence, feet, fire, fin, fog elephant, uniform, xylophone, jellyfish, dolphin, sunflower, giraffe, thief, gift, leaf, surf, scarf. The Halloween names are Franky, Fester, Buffy, and Phoebe.

3 different sheets (levels) for each charactor –
---one sheet has 12 words with targeted in the initial position,
---one sheet has 12 words (6 words with targeted sound in the initial position and 6 with the targeted sound in the final position).
----One sheet has 18 words (6 words with the targeted sound in the initial position, 6 with the targeted sound in the medial position, and 6 words with the targeted sound in the final position.

Parent Homework
1 Sheet of parent directions for homework.

Suggested Activities for Target Words, Phrases and Sentences
1. Have the student say one word a predetermined number of times (i.e., 1-10 times) and then draw a part of the face, or color a part of the head.
2. Have the student say a predetermined number of words, or a row of words, and then draw a part of the face, or color a part of the head.
3. Have the student say all of the words and then draw a part of the face, or color a part of the head.
4. Have the student use a sentence starter such as, “I see a ___”. “Franky likes _____.
5. Have the child make up a sentence using the word.

Describing Activity - When you are done or throughout the activity, you could have the students describe the face using descriptive words.

Suggested Activities for Parent Homework Sheet
Practice sheet with student and send home to parent(s) along with parent directions.
