This is such an easy guide to help you walk your students through the research process AND conduct an experiment too! This resource has it all! Here's what is included:
-Parent Letter Home (page 3)-This letter explains the students will be doing a project and requests minimal supplies be sent in to gather materials to conduct experiments.
-Project Completion Check-Off (page 4)- This is editable and printable. It helped me organize which teams were on what step during the project.
-Science Project Packet (page 5-16)-This is an editable and printable packet to give the students. The packet has 10 steps for the students to walk through during the process. In this packet, they will write down information they gather during their research and during their science experiment. It will help them organize their materials to prepare to write their research report later. There is a checklist at the beginning to help them stay on track.
-Student Self-Assessment (page 17)-Students can score how well they think they did as part of their Science team.
-Grading Rubric (page 18)-Students will get scored on the rubric for a Science grade.
-Optional ‘Do it at Home’ Project Rubric (page 19)-This is a rubric for the option to have your students do their Science project at home.
-Written Report Template (pages 20-30)-These pages contain a template for your students to type their final report. You might want to copy and paste these pages into a blank Microsoft Word document so they can save their file.
-Sample Work (pages 31-44)- These pages contain sample pictures and written reports as samples as you take your students through the project process.
Didn't I say it had it ALL? ...If that isn't enough, everything is editable to customize for your students!
