### Description

Teach all operations with 14 days of lesson plans and active engagement activities for problem solving all operations, fixed vs. variable expenses and input output tables. This unit includes everything you need to teach all operations in problem solving. In this resource, students work with Math Huddles or Math Talks in real world, problem solving situations. Students will learn about fixed and variable expense and calculate profit. Students will also learn about representing patterns in input output tables using sequences, generating rules, and creating tables based on a rule.

Each TEK standard-- 4A 4.4H 4.5A 4.5B 4.10A 4.10B -- is broken down into Learning Targets to make it easier to track student progress and make working in a PLC easier. There are 9 skills in this unit! Each learning target contains intervention and enrichment skills. Both student and teacher data sheets are included to track growth and make small group instruction easier.

THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES:

• Daily objectives, learning targets, and materials.
• Whole class teaching activities with guided math activities.
• Closure with an exit ticket and answer key for most days.
• Learning targets can be used to assign intervention and enrichment skills.
• Whole Class Teaching: Mini Lessons, Connection, Teaching Point, Active Engagement, Link to Ongoing Learning, Games
• Games and Engagement Activities: Math Huddle- 3 Read 4.4A, Math Huddle- K-N-W-S-S 4.4H, Math Huddle- Defend Your Answer 4.5A, The Very Unfair Game 4.4A, 4.4H, 4.5A, Expense Sort 4.10A, Expenses SCOOT 4.10A, Partner A/B- Calculating Profit 4.10B, Mirror 4.5B, Scavenger Hunt 4.5B, Pattern SCOOT 4.5B, Minute to Win It! 4.5B

Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
Find whole-number quotients and remainders with up to four-digit dividends and one-digit divisors, using strategies based on place value, the properties of operations, and/or the relationship between multiplication and division. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
