This activity can be done to strengthen students’ graphing skills in an engaging way, as well as to incorporate into a whole class discussion on the similarities and differences between students in the classroom. This product can be used to create a circle graph of students’ eye color, hair color or gender. The activity can be done whole class on a white board (with the given percentage / number labels), or as a handout with individual graph templates. Students can indicate which items to be graphed about themselves with the ballot cards that are included with this product. I use this product in conjunction with my All Sorts of People (Multi-cultural) Unit. It also makes a great get to know you / ice breaker activity for students.
